Born out of necessity.

Our story begins in the North. Where the winters are long and the cold is bone-deep. Where people know the rhythm of the seasons and understand that everyday life doesn't stop, no matter how harsh the weather. It is also where I discovered something that struck me: that carers do a very important and hard job - often without the right tools.

We saw carers hurriedly struggling with zippers, carrying heavy blankets for outdoor activities, trying their best in cold conditions. We also saw elders sitting quietly, often cold, missing outdoors because it was too difficult, too slow, too hard.

That's when the question arose that created TikkiCare: What if we could make all this just a little bit easier?

We didn't want to just make a "new product". We wanted to do meaningful work - work that would make a difference in the daily lives of carers, lighten their load and bring comfort, warmth and, above all, dignity to those they care for.

Our mission is to help - practically and with heart

TikkiCare was born out of a desire to help. We have a deep respect for caring. It is not just a profession - it is a vocation, where humanity meets humanity. We believe that when a carer has the right tools, they can focus on what matters most: presence, safety and encounter.

A well-designed aid is not just a tool - it is a tool that saves time, reduces stress and supports the worker's ability to cope. It empowers and adds warmth, security and humanity to everyday life in a care home.

Our first step: the Wheelchair Poncho

Our first product is the new-age wheelchair poncho.
It was developed in collaboration with carers, listening to their wishes, everyday challenges and recurring pain points. The poncho is not just warm and quick to put on - it's a tangible solution that saves time and gives outdoor activities to those for whom it used to be too difficult.

Designed for Nordic conditions, developed by domestic craftsmen, tested in real care work.
